Daredevil

Brook is now old enough to be sent off all by herself with just 2 leaders and dozens of girls to a day camp that has guns, bow and arrows and dangerous heights. Crazy!!!!!! Unfortunately, she has me as a mom. I begged to go to her day camp with her and they let me. I guess that they needed to get all of the girls there somehow. It was awesome to see how much fun all of the girls had. And yes, that is Brook hanging from a zipline. I love that Brook is willing to try anything and everything. Even though she knows she's not going to make it to the top of a rock climbing wall with a broken arm. You rock my little daredevil.

Happy 4th Rob

Rob finally gets to celebrate the 4th of July the way he wants to. No crowds. No fireworks. Just good friends and food. We had tons of fun camping with our good friends over the 4th of July weekend at Granite Flats. As you can see, the boys spent the majority of the time playing with the Tonka trucks. They really are built to last. But our boys still managed to find a way to bend them and break them. Luckily, it was the last day before they got the idea to sit in the bed of the truck and ride it down the hill. We don't need any more broken bones for a while.

Why oh Why?

We had finally decided to do something really fun for the summer as a family. We purchased season passes to Cherry Hill. Yes, we were going to spend the majority of our summer playing in the water and catching some rays. The summer was off to a cool start, so we really had only gone to Cherry Hill a few times. And what happens? Our sweet Brook broke her arm!!!! We're not new to broken arms. This is the 5th one we've had. 4 of them within a year. However, Brook had to outdo all of the breaks we've had so far. She cracked the bone all the way through above her elbow. It required surgery and 3 pins. But we figure it'll be ok. We can get a waterproof cast. Not all is lost. Until the doctor tells us she can't get her arm wet. With the pins in her arms, it doesn't matter if she has a waterproof cast or not. She simply can't get her arm wet. So we invested in the Dry Pro. A fabulous looking cover for her cast. You can't leave it on for more than 45 minutes. And it doesn't help that she sometimes cries because it's cutting off her circulation. Luckily, she will be getting her cast off in another week. It's hard to see but in the picture below you can kind of see the pins sticking out. And that guy with Brook in the 0ther picture is the horrible man that stuck those pins in her. Or the wonderful guy that put her back together. I guess it just depends on the way you want to look at it.

Baseball

We think that Trevor may have actually found a sport that he loves. We had so much fun watching Trevor play baseball this year. And not so much fun watching Nate and Cody get into trouble while we were trying to watch Trevor play. Really, who's kids are those and why aren't their parents watching them?

S'More Fun

So we decided to start the summer off with a blast and had a Smore Fight for family night. Unfortunately, marshmallow is not very easy to get out of hair. As a matter of fact, melted marshmallow isn't very easy to get off of anything. A few weeks after the smore fight, I happened to find an entire smore stuck behind our blinds. Darn that Cody. Someone should really watch that kid.

The End of School Days = The Beginning of Summer

We were so lucky to have such great teachers for our kids this past year. Brooky has ended her 2nd grade year. Trevor ending his 1st grade year. Nate ending his 1st preschool year. Now for some fun. Here come's summer!!!
